Eligibility Requirements

• To become a Member of NMOTA you must be an Occupational Therapist, Occupational Therapy Assistant, or Student enrolled in an accredited Occupational Therapy Program. New Mexico residency is not required.

• The principal requirement is that All Members (except students) should have been certified by an accredited institution or licensed or regulated by a state, commonwealth, district, or territory of the United States to practice as an occupational therapist or occupational therapy assistant - As long as that person has not had their certification or license revoked, they are eligible to become NMOTA members.
